<br/><br/> This study was a community-based cross-sectional analytic study using multistage random sample, all the household members of all ages of the 512 families constituting the sample were included. The study involved 3 phases; phase IA for demographic data collection and epilepsy screening for known and/ or suspected cases with epilepsy by an Arabic questionnaire based upon the WHO questionnaire for epidemiologic studies of neurologic disorders
