A major clinical problem encountered with the use of indomethacin (IMN),a Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, is gastrointestinal complications. It was reported that IMN develops gastropathy by inducing reactive oxygen species(ROS)as well as pro-inflammatory mediators such as tumor necrosis factor Ü (TNF-Ü). Moreover, IMN induced peptic ulcer (PU) by inducing apoptotic death, manifested by an increase in the expression of Cyt c and caspase-3
