<br/><br/> In this thesis, we studied the discrete lifetime distributions with illustration to its properties and its importance, we give a small survey about discrete lifetime distributions, we purposed a new discrete lifetime distribution based on discretizing the exponential -poisson distribution and finally we spot the light on the estimation of the parameters for the discrete lifetime distributions under censored samples. for the purpose of illustration we discussed some simulated examples and others real data examples
