The present study aims to evaluate the possible ameliorative effect of earthworm (Allolobophora caliginosa) extract (EE) against silicon dioxide nanoparticles (SiNPs) induced liver injury in male albino rats. The effectiveness of EE was compared with silymarin as a standard hepatoprotective drug. The present work disclosed the antioxidant activity of the EE by a DPPH (1, 1 - diphenyl - 2 -picrylhydrazyl) assay. Administration of SiNPs, for successive 15 days, caused an undesirable effect on most of the studied biochemical parameters
