This study was conducted on twenty Living donor liver transplantation (LDLT) recipients from Liver Transplantation unit in Kasr El Eini hospital. All patients were transplanted for end-stage liver disease (ESLD) and hepatitis C virus (HCV). Patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) were excluded. The aim of this work was to study the value of Procalcitonin (PCT) as well as hepato-biliary iminodiacetic acid scan (HIDA scan) as markers for survival following Liver Transplantation (LT).PCT was measured one day preoperatively as well as one day, four days and eight days postoperatively and PCT levels were correlated with sepsis. HIDA scan was performed three weeks and three months following LT. HIDA scan results were compared with abdominal ultrasound (US) findings and laboratory tests to assess the graft function
