<br/><br/> Osteoporosis and periodontal disease share several common etiological risk factors, and research supports the idea that osteoporosis independently influences alveolar bone height loss. This study was undertaken in an attempt to assess the effect of Omega - 3 fatty acids, as an adjunctive therapy from nutritional origin, in treatment of osteoporosis using DEXA, and in treatment of periodontitis using clinical and direct digital radiographic densitometric analysis. This study also aimed to compare the effect of Omega - 3 fatty acids used medically with Rutin + Vitamin C to Rutin + Vitamin C used alone in the treatment of both diseases osteoporosis and chronic periodontitis
