The proposed high performance permanent - magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drive system consists of PMSM model, space - vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) inverter, field - oriented control scheme, intelligent fuzzy logic controller (FLC) for speed and proportional and integral (PI) current controllers. The SVPWM inverter enables to feed the motor with a higher voltage with low harmonic distortions than the conventional sinusoidal PWM inverter
