<br/><br/> The evidence - based design is a practice that has emerged recently, inspired by the growing popularity of utilizing the evidence based approaches in other professions such as medicine, where these approaches have received a major attention in designing the healthcare sectors e.g., hospitals and healthcare facilities, then it was applied in a various types of architectural projects. This research identifies the history and the origins of the evidence - based practice and presents a modern methodology that could poses a set of innovative solutions for our local architectural issues in addition to enhancing the economic aspects, the users behavior, and the built environment quality in event that if this methodology has been applied and incorporated into the current design process
