N2  - The present study was conducted at shawesh family health unit which is located in ehnasya district, in Beni Seuf governorate. The study was descriptive, cross sectional and conducted to determine the rate of referred cases in a family practice unit in Beni Suef, to detect compliance of the family practice center in Beni Suef to the pre - set referral process guidelines, to assess customers' satisfaction with the referral process, to assess health care providers' satisfaction with the referral process and to develop recommendations to improve quality of the referral process. This done by reviewing forms and records of referred cases, assessment of health team role in  the referral system, assessment of patients' satisfaction about referral system and in - depth interviews with health providers
