Genotoxic stress of insecticides represents human - health hazards. Acylureas, as insect growth regulators, were developed and aimed to be "safe" and "non - mutagenic" insecticides. The electrophilic sites of the trested acylureas lufenuron and chlorfluazuron suggest their ability to form adducts with DNA through its nucleophilic sites. Using genetic system of drosophila melanogaster in the present work, three genotoxic modes of action of the acylureas were revealed
