The purpose of this study was to determine the relation between primary fatigue and cognitive dysfunction in multiple sclerosis patients and to provide insight about the pathophysiology of primary fatigue in relation to the degree of inflammation particularly tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF - Ü) and interferon gamma (IFN - Þ) Methods: Forty Multiple Sclerosis (MS) patients participated in this study. The patients were assigned into two equal groups, primary fatigued MS patients (G1) and non - fatigued MS patients(G2). All the patients were primarily distinguished into fatigued MS patients and non fatigued MS patients using the fatigue severity scale (FSS). Patients with secondary fatigue were excluded from the study using expanded disability status scale (EDSS), beck depression inventory (BDI) and Epworth sleepiness scale ESS ER -
