Our study was a prospective cohort study conducted at the ophthalmology department, Cairo University, in a six months period (May 2013- December 2013).The study comprised 30 patients referred to the eye clinic for cataract surgery, with different grades of senile cataract. All patients were matched for age, sex, cataract grade. Two surgeons performed all the surgeries, using a 3 mm clear corneal incision. All wounds were sutureless, except for one patient who had an intraoperative phacoburn. It has been proven that the cell loss in the signature group is significantly more than the cell loss the infiniti group. The comparative analysis performed on the flow rate, average power, phacotime, and Patient Age in both groups showed that there is no significant differences in these parameter values between both machines UR - http://172.23.153.220/th.pdf ER -
