The structure was designed according to Egyptian Code of Practice (ECP). Fully nonlinear dynamic analysis for the structure is carried out using Applied Element Method. According to UFC code, primary vertical structural element is removed and structure behavior is investigated. The results are compared to the UFC limits which are rotation of beams, columns and joints. Also the effect of lateral load direction was investigated. The results shows that the designed reinforced concrete structures designed according to ECP satisfy BS in all vertical and horizontal ties. The designed reinforced concrete structures designed according to ECP satisfy UFC in all vertical ties but not satisfy horizontal ties. The required reinforcements for ties in slabs are greater than the minimum limits of reinforcement of ECP. The designed reinforced concrete structures designed according to ECP and tied according to BS met the UFC code limits. No progressive collapse was occurred in any case of removal for the designed reinforced concrete structures designed according to ECP and tied according to BS. Both of tying system for the designed reinforced concrete structures are safe but BS tying system is more economic than UFC tying system ER -
