Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) secrete an array of signaling molecules. Among these factors is the chemokine CXCL12 (SDF-1), whose fine-tuned concentrations in the bone marrow are critical for maintaining the quiescence, survival and repopulation of hematopoeitic stem cell and leukemic cells through its main receptor, CXCR4. This study aimed to demonstrate the effect of leukemic cells on mesenchymal stromal cell production of CXCL12 through measuring BM plasma level of CXCL12 in addition to estimate the expression of its gene in MSCs. This study included 20 AML cases and 10 non neoplastic bone marrows as a control group UR - http://172.23.153.220/th.pdf ER -
