Objective: This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of sandblasting on the bond strength of zirconia (Y- TZP) using two different resin luting agent. Materials and methods: Twenty zirconia ceramic discs (6 mm in a diameter and 2 mm in thickness) Specimens were divided into four equal groups, according to the size of the size of Al2O3 particles, group (1) no treatment group (2) sandblasting with 50 æm Al2O3 particles group (3) with 110 æm Al2O3 particles group (4) with 250 æm Al2O3 particles. All ceramic discs were exposed to bi-surfaces treatment. Each group was farther divided into 2 subgroups according to the resin cement tested; (A) represent RelyX TM ARC (ARC, conventional) and (B) represent RelyXUnicem (Ucem, self-adhesive).Results: show that sandblasting with 250 æm AL2O3 particles showed the highest mean shear bond strength and the type of resin composite had no effect on mean shear bond strength.
