Background: The use of bilateral internal mammary arteries in coronary artery bypass grafting is a more technically demanding procedure,so it tends to more concentrated in high-volume tertiary referral centers.volume- oucome relationship in case of BIMA use is the target of our study. METHODOLOGY A retrospective observational study was conducted in the period from January 2012 to june 2013 in which 20 patients undergoing bilateral internal mammary artery grafting for coronary bypass surgery at Al-Ahrar Zagazig general hospital were reviewed and evaluated. RESULTS Of the 20 patients undergoing bilateral IMA grafting, 19 were males and 1 females. The mean age was 52.05 ± 8.1 years. Following the 20 primary, elective , isolated non emergent surgeries, there was one hospital death. The most common post-operative complications were arrhythmias(15%) and sternal wound infection(10%)
