DNA and botanical profiling of Securigera securidaca L. were conducted. The lipoidal content of the flowers was investigated using GC/Ms analysis. Two compounds were isolated from n-hexane fraction of the flowers and identified as Ý-sitosterol and Ü-amyrin. One phenolic acid; salicylic acid was isolated from the methylene chloride fraction. Three flavonoids were isolated from the ethyl acetate fraction and identified as isovitexin, isoquercetrin and isorhamnetin-3-O-Ý-D-glucoside. Total flavonoids and phenolics were determined colorimetrically. The amount of total flavonoids was 48.82 ± 1.95 mg and total phenolics was 82.39 ± 2.79 mg per g of the dried powdered flowers. HPLC analysis of phenolic compounds present in the flowers revealed that isoquercetrin was the major flavonoid and syringic acid was the major phenolic acid. HPLC-DAD/ESI-MS analysis of the ethanolic extract of the flowers allowed the identification of 47 compounds including 39 flavonoids and 8 phenolic acids. One cardenolide was isolated from the immature fruits and identified as hyrcanoside
