A total of 200 imported frozen chicken samples were examined for enterotoxigenicity and antimicrobial sensitivity.80 sample of them were negative for staphylococci and 120 samples were positive for staphylococci. Integral system stafilococchi kit was used for identification of 6 isolates of coagulase positive staphylococci, which indicated S.aureus. And 14 isolates of coagulase negative, which indicated that; 50% were S.haemolyticus, 21% were S.cohnii, 14% were S.warneri, 7% were S.simulans, and 7% were S.capitis. By antimicrobial sensitivity tests for the 20 isolates; 80% of isolates were resistant to Gentamicin, 85% resistant to Tobramycin, 45% were resistant to Amoxicillin + clavulanic acid, 70% were resistant to Ceftazidime, 50% resistant to Cefuroxime,100% resistant to Azitromycin, 45% were resistant to Claritromycin, 60% were resistant to Erythromycin, 65% were resistant to Roxitromycin. Suckling mice assay was done for 10 isolates of coagulase negative staphylococci and 10 coagulase positive and showed that, all 10 coagulase positive were positive for enterotoxigenicity and all 10 coagulase negative were negative for enterotoxigenicity. The same 20 isolates were examined by PCR and showed that from coagulase positive; 2 isolates were positive for seb gene and 4 isolates were positive for sec. None of 10 coagulase negative staphylococci were positive for enterotoxigenic genes. In conclusion, Imported frozen chicken may represent public health hazard
