One of the main problems facing the production of hydrogen via water electrolysis is the cathodic material. Thus, development of economic, but active cathode materials is important in order to make the electrolysis process more effective. The modification of the electrodeposited Ni-Fe alloys was carried out via the addition of zinc and its subsequent leaching in an alkaline solution. The electrocatalytic performances of the modified alloys for hydrogen evolution in alkaline media had been investigated by cyclic voltammetry and Tafel linear polarization. The optimal conditions for the preparation of a modified Ni{u2013}Fe cathode are listed as pH 5, temperature 25{u00B0}C and electroplating current density 45 mA.cm⁻² UR - http://172.23.153.220/th.pdf ER -
