Biochemical and Molecular aspects of cypermethrin pesticide on albino rats. Degree: Master of Science (Biochemistry) Introduction: Cypermethrin is a synthetic pyrethroid that belongs to a group of insecticides with low mammalian toxicity but high insecticidal activity. The present study was designed to investigate sub-acute effects of cypermethrin (formulation and technical) on the respiratory chain protein complexes of rat liver mitochondria. Method: It is experimental study, done on 40 male Wister albino rats that were caged and fed under standard conditions, and divided into 4 groups: Group I: control group, Group II: low dose group1/60of LD50 (1.208 mg/kg) formulation, Group III: high dose group 1/30of LD50 (2.416 mg/kg) formulation and Group IV: technical dose group 1/30of LD50 (38.826 mg/kg). Blood samples were drawn from all animals for laboratory assessment of biochemical analysis and hematological analysiselectrophoretic analysis
