This retrospective study included 134 patients with toxic coma who were admitted to the ICU in National environmental and clinical toxicological research center, Cairo university hospitals from January 2013 to December 2013. The most frequent age group being those between 18 - 40 years (46.2%) followed by those below 18 years (36.6%) with male predominance (61.2%). The accidental cases comprised the highest frequency among the studied groups (50.7%) followed by suicidal cases (29.9%). The most frequently ingested agents were Tramadol (36.6%) followed by miscellaneous agents (31.3%) then organo- phosphorous insecticides (14.9%). GCS was equal and below than 8 at time of presentation in (64.2%) of patients. The mortality rate was 14.2%
