They are gaining popularity due to the support for wide range of applications, such as social networks, learning, healthcare, image / video processing, E- commerce, and games. Unfortunately, the evolution in mobile applications does not match with the current limitations of mobile device resources that the applications demands for executing effectively. The limited resources of mobile devices include the battery life, processing power, memory, storage, and unpredictable network connectivity. As a solution to this issue, several research projects propose the usage of cloud offloading, which is a process that moves resource-intensive computations from a mobile device to the resource-rich cloud. Offloading enhances the applications performance and reduces battery power consumption of the device. However, these offloading models are very complex which may be dif{uFB01}cult to implement and support a single platform due to the heterogeneity of the underlying technologies, and the variety of supported programming languages UR - http://172.23.153.220/th.pdf ER -
