N2  - This research discusses the importance of ecosystem and the principles of ecological landscape design concentrating on vegetation element and its ecological performance. The research main problem is the is the lack of ecological considerations through the vegetation design process in the Egyptian landscape field depending on, in the first place, the aesthetical function of vegetation. As a result of the previously discussions, the research managed to extract a bundle of strategies could be applied in the Egyptian local market to enhance the ecological performance of vegetation
