This research addressed the higher education buildings in Yemen through investigation of their performance by POE technique. Post-Occupancy Evaluation framework for evaluating the higher educational buildings in the Yemeni context was developed and applied on two case studies in Yemen. The results generally inclined to confirm the main hypothesis of the research which states that 2the higher education buildings in Yemen dont appropriately meet the actual requirements and needs of the end - users3; and 2the higher education buildings in Yemen are more appropriate in meeting the actual requirements for males than females3. The results indicated that there are no significant differences between the males and females in the most of the assessed requirement except the cultural requirements where the males were more satisfied than females. It should be mentioned that there were also significant differences between the males and females in the some of the technical and functional requirements evaluated but most of the reasons behind these differences may be also attributed to cultural issues
