Patients: Uncontrolled diabetic patients [G1], control diabetic patients [G2], normal healthy subjects [G3].,LF, concentration was measured using ELISA technique. Arginase and all biochemical parameters were measured by using Jenway 6105 uv/vis spectrophotometer. Finally all the results were statistically analyzed and compared with normal healthy subjects [G3]. Results: both arginase and LF were elevated in both uncontrolled diabetic patients [G1] and control diabetic patients [G2] compared to normal healthy subjects [G3]. Conclusion: The elevated serum arginase activity level and serum LF concentration originate from type 2 diabetes. As a result, both arginase activity level and LF concentration could be used to improve the clinical assessment of type 2 diabetes and might also be useful as a biological marker associated with the diabetes and a useful marker for monitoring the disease. Further, arginase enzyme activity level as well as LF concentration could be used for monitoring the diabetes therapy and detect suitable and most effective method for the treatment UR - http://172.23.153.220/th.pdf ER -
