Botanical profiling including macro-morphological and micro-morphological study of the different organs of Ochrosia ellpitica Labill. were done. The ethanolic and aqueous extracts of the leaves were found to be safe and non-toxic up to 5g/Kg of body weight. The biological study including anti-inflammatory, analgesic, cytotoxic, anti-oxidant and antimicrobial activities of the total ethanolic & aqueous extracts as well as its respective fractions of the leaves of Ochrosia elliptica Labill. showed that the methylene chloride fraction was the most active fraction as anti-inflammatory, cytotoxic and anti-fungal, where the n- butanol fraction was the most active fraction as analgesic, anti- oxidant and anti-fungal. Preliminary phytochemical screening, proximate analysis, investigation of the lipoidal content, in addition to phytochemical investigation of the active fractions which afforded 8 compounds of which lupeol, lupeol acetate, ursolic acid, uvaol, Ý-sitosterol glucoside and rutin were reported for the first time from genus Ochrosia as well as, 9- Methoxy and 8-Methoxy ellipticine, the structures of the isolated compounds were elucidated using different spectroscopic techniques, were done. Qualitative analysis of the secondary metabolites of the leaves by LC/MS profiling in both positive and negative ionization mode were also done and lead to identification of eight indole alkaloids, two flavonoids, three phenolic acids and quinic acid. Quantitative estimation of the total phenolic, flavonoid and alkaloidal content also included in this study which corresponding to 781.69 ± 0.14, 553.63 ± 0.23 and 20.57 ± 0.87 mg/100 g dry weight, respectively.
