Female breast cancer is the second most common cancer in the world and the most common cancer among women, with more than one million new cases each year. Surgery is considered the primary treatment for breast cancer. The surgical approaches have also changed from radical local procedures was performed by Halsted in 1882 to the modified mastectomy and lastly to breast conserving therapy, the standard technique for the past 20 years. Oncoplastic surgery is tumor specific immediate breast reconstruction. In this study we had performed a variety of surgical approaches of volume displacement oncoplastic techniques for the treatment of patients with breast cancer to assess the validity and efficiency of these surgical procedures from the point of oncological safety and aesthetic outcome. From the evaluation of aesthetic outcome by the breast surgery team and also the patients satisfaction we were able to assess the volume displacement techniques as an oncoplastic tool for the reconstruction of partial breast defects after wide local excision in breast conserving surgery
