Results: The study showed impaired cognitive functions in all subtests including the full scale IQ (FIQ), verbal IQ (VIQ), and performance IQ (PIQ)) among hemodialysis and post renal transplantation patients compared to healthy control. Also, impaired cognitive functions were signi{uFB01}cantly lower in the dialysis children compared to the post renal transplantation group. Children with chronic kidney disease either on hemodialysis or post successful renal transplantation may experience adverse psychological and behavioral problems. Post renal transplantation patients had internalizing problems, externalizing problems, aggression, somatic problems, attention problems, withdrawal problems and CBCL total problems more than hemodialysis patients. Children on hemodialysis had anxiety problems more than children with post renal transplantation. Conclusion: children on regular hemodialysis and post successful renal transplantation are suffering from impaired cognitive functions and also, they had several behavioral problems UR - http://172.23.153.220/th.pdf ER -
