The patients included in the study were divided into 2 equal groups (30 each); GDK: The patients received Dexmedetomidine 1mcg/Kg over 10 minutes followed by continuous infusion at a rate of 0.5 mcg/kg/hr. and GFK: The patients received Fentanyl 1mcg/kg followed by continuous infusion of 0.5 mcg/kg/hr. Anesthesia was induced by propofol 2 mg/kg iv and atracuronium at a dose of 0.5 mg /kg .Both groups received 30 mg IV Ketorolac 5 minutes after intubation. All patients have received the test drugs prior to intubation and infusion stopped before extubation UR - http://172.23.153.220/th.pdf ER -
