Due to increase demand on the use of gas cylinders although natural gas is connected to homes and companies, the study was conducted on how to cool the cylinders after exit from the oven and protection of rusty or exposure to blast as a result of faulty cooling. Objective of the study is to identify how the cooling gas cylinders with air after painting and out of the oven at a temperature of 200C to a temperature workers can handle it, has been used two methods for cooling (cooling by natural convection or cooling by forced convection). The study of three cases of gas cylinders cooling by forced convection is carried out to select the best case of cooling where the gas cylinders reached a temperature that the cylinders can be easily handled. The study of three cases of gas cylinders cooling by forced convection is carried out to select the best case of cooling where the gas cylinders reached a temperature that the cylinders can be easily handled. The thesis includes a comparison between natural convection and forced convection in terms of time required for cooling, cost and space required for production line. CFD (computational fluid dynamics ) is used as a design tool due to the size involved and the high cost of experimental work. The utilization of sophisticated numerical modeling techniques such as CFD is inexpensive and effective tool in providing innovative engineering design solution .The CFD simulation tool, if well - defined and properly verified, works efficiently as a virtual testing setup
