This work has been carried out to present and characterize new chemically modified carbon paste electrodes (CMCPEs) which are based on recently synthesized two ion- associates including lead-diclofenac (Pb-DC) and lead-thiopental (Pb-THP), for determination of lead ions in some environmental samples. These samples were collected from different locations in Egypt, indoor samples including dust samples, respirable particulate matter (PM ) and even baby 10 toys of low quality (cheap toys and may be made of recyclable matter). The methods involved characterization of these electrodes in terms of slope, linear Nernstian range, detection limit, response time, usable pH range, working temperature range, life time when hanging the electrode in air. The effect of interfering ions was studied by applying matched potential method. Each electrode was applied for potentiometric determination of lead ions in pure solutions and the cited samples. The electrodes were successfully applied as indicator electrodes for potentiometric titration of lead with EDTA titrant. Surface characterization and surface morphology of the proposed CMCPEs was carried out using scanning electron microscope and energy dispersive X-ray (SEM-EDX)
