Hydraulic structures for irrigation system were established since year 1800. The beginning of constructing the hydraulic structures was at Mohammed Aly era, to control the flood of the river Nile and to save water for irrigation and other Purposes. From this era, the number of hydraulic structures reaches to more than three hundred structures had been built in Egypt. Till this time, the only criterion adopted for related decision making is based on the virtual age of the structure, given the fact that some of the old hydraulic structures still functioning with higher hydraulic efficiency compared to the newly structures. This study presents detailed multi-criteria analyses to evaluate the existing conditions of regulators and barrages in Egypt. The new approach of the multi-criteria analysis will help the decision maker to take the right action toward the existing structure either by do nothing, rehabilitation, or replacement
