Nano Lead ( Pb) was prepared by ball milling using Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) as a surfactant. Pb/PVA mixture are milled for various times and characterized with X-ray diffraction technique to determine the grain size and micro strain. All powders morphologies were characterized with Field emission Scanning electron microscope . The nano-Pb/PVA at 60 min milling time was characterized by High Resolution Transmission electron microscope to confirm the nanometric size. The yielded nano- Pb/PVA were mixed with Polypropylene by various mass ratios. The samples were tested against Gamma from 137Cs under the narrow beam attenuation setup. The mass attenuation coefficients of the samples were calculated experimently and compared with the theoretical values from Nist-XCOM website.
