Decision making is the procedure used to find the best alternatives among a set of feasible alternatives and also ranking them as their priorities. Some approaches adopted uncertain numbers with specific arithmetic operations such as 2interval, triangle and trapezoidal fuzzy numbers3. However, a generalized form of fuzzy numbers is still an open question for many researchers. In this thesis, a polygon fuzzy number has been introduced and applied for the fuzzy multi criteria decision making problems. It has been proposed as the generalized fuzzy number and also it enriches the fuzzy multi criteria decision making fields with many possible fuzzy forms such as 2triangle, trapezoidal, pentagon, hexagon and n_gon fuzzy numbers3. Such different forms of fuzzy numbers give the decision makers the flexibility and the possibility to choose the suitable form according to their own subjective view. Also it allows us to deal with different forms of polygon fuzzy numbers in the same problem with solid base of arithmetic operations. More examples have been introduced, implemented and the results have been compared and coincided, which prove the correctness and adaptability of the proposed fuzzy numbers. Fuzzy multi criteria decision making problems have been solved using innovative and creative methods by using the proposed fuzzy number more realistic and more flexibility in evaluating the problem and more critical and more accurate in calculating the results ER -
