This literature was done to compare the effectiveness of Honey and Betadine (conventional dressing) on open fracture wound healing, and was carried out on patients treated in the Orthopedic Ward at Kasr Alainy Hospital, Cairo during four-months since July till December 2015.Open fractures classifications and management were reviewed in the first chapter along with the two types of the open fractures wound management that were used in this study (Honey and Betadine) with their properties and advantages in wound healing.The selection of patients was according to multiple criteria which result in similar demographic variation with the fractures and their wounds methods of managements were discussed in the second chapter.This studys results showed the superiority of the honey over the betadine in open fractures wound healing time and in minimizing complications as shown in the third chapter.In the fourth chapter, discussion of the results of this study was done along with comparing between these results with the results of similar studies, and great similarity was the role. Recommendations about the selectin of the honey and the way of applying were discussed in this chapter as well
