N2  - Nutrition is important for everyone to help body stay strong and healthy. Eating well is particularly important for cancer patient. Cancer is a group of diseases that affect any part of the body. Breast cancer is a kind of cancer that develops from breast cells. Chemotherapy is a treatment using anti cancer (cytotoxic) drugs and is considered one of the most important treatments for breast cancer. Was to assess the nutritional status of breast cancer women receiving chemotherapy. A descriptive research design was utilized in the current study. Study was conducted in clinical oncology department at Kasr Eleini Hospital. Sample: A convenient sample of 60 adult conscious patients. Tools of data collection: a- Structured interview questionnaire b- Nutritional assessment tool. The majority of studied sample (88.3%) was married and housewife  (91.7%). All subjects diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. The mostly reported risk factors  affecting nutrition were decreased appetite, taste alteration, swallowing difficulty, vomiting and stomatitis were (78.3%, 83.3%, 78.3%, 96.7%, 86.7%) respectively. The mean BMI of studied sample in 1st assessment, 2nd assessment and 3rd assessment were (30.09 ± 3.18, 29.06 ± 3.46, 28.01 ± 4.76) respectively indicating worsened nutritional status. Patients who  received chemotherapy showed marked nutritional problems. Therefore, the findings of this study answer the research question 2What is the Nutritional status of breast cancer women receiving chemotherapy3. Replication of the study on a larger probability  sample selected from different geographical areas in Egypt is recommended to obtain more generalizable data. Nutritional assessment should become an integrated part of the total  management of breast cancer patient
