Methods: 540 female basketball players from 14 clubs in Cairo, Egypt were assigned to 4 groups according to their ages. The examination included an interview on individual characteristics (weight, age, height, years of play and position of play) and self-recorded the Arabic translated version of victorian institute of sport assessment (VISA) score from 0 (worst) to 100 (best). Results: The incidence of jumper{u2019}s knee of all the studied players was 34.4%. There was no significant statistical difference between the mean values of VISA score between the studied groups (p=0.487). There was a significant statistical difference between the incidences of jumper{u2019}s knee between the players{u2019} positions of the overall studied players (p value =0.001). There was no significant statistical difference between the incidences of jumper{u2019}s knee between the groups according to the players{u2019} positions (p value=0.144). There was a significant statistical difference between the incidences of jumper{u2019}s knee according to the players{u2019} position in group1, group 2, group 3 and group 4 (p value =0.001, p value=0.001, p value =0.001 and p value=0.019) respectively. Conclusion: Within the limit of our study the incidence of jumper{u2019}s knee in female basketball players in Cairo, Egypt is 34.4% and it is nearly equal at all ages. The most susceptible position for jumper{u2019}s knee is the pivot position UR - http://172.23.153.220/th.pdf ER -
