However, existing SVC simulation tools do not support adaptive video transmission. So, we present an Adaptive VIdeo Simulation (AVIS) framework for scalable video in network simulator 2 (NS-2). AVIS design provides a flexible and configurable means for supporting a wide range of time-based and traffic-based input parameters for adaptive algorithms.
