Recent publication from Egypt reported that liver cancer is the most predominant cancer in Egypt. Certain main features characterize HCC patients in Egypt following the clear geographical distribution nature of the disease. The aim of the study is to evaluate 5 year experience in management of hepatocellular carcinoma at the National Cancer Institute, Cairo university as a reference of the extent and determinants of HCC in Egypt and the outcomes of different ways of management. Patients records with the diagnosis of HCC during the period from January 2007 to December 2011 had been retrieved retrospectively from biostatistics and cancer epidemiology department at the National cancer institute (NCI), Cairo university.
