The use of assisted reproductive technologies had increased steadily over the last three decades as an effective treatment of infertility, however it may cause complications ranging from mild to severe life threatening complication as ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome. A wide spectrum of anesthetic techniques had been used for those patients, starting from only monitored anesthesia care, passing through spinal anesthesia and para-cervical block or even general anesthesia. None of these techniques proves to be superior significantly to the other techniques in terms of fertilization and pregnancy rates. Further research work is required on different anesthetic techniques used for this technology
