This work aimed to study the correlation between biochemical activity of mangrove ecosystem and the activity of isolated bacteria; and the possibility of using these bacteria as biofertilizers with barley cultivated under salt stress. Samples were collected and subjected for enzymes determination and bacterial isolation. The best three bacterial isolates were evaluated to improve plantation. Salinity affected all the parameters in stressed plants compared with controls. Results showed the inoculation with halophilic bacteria enhanced plant growth and increased yield production
