Experiments were conducted at the Agricultural Experimental station , Faculty of agriculture , Cairo University . Three tillage equipment , pneumatic planting , topping and digging for harvesting were tested . the vegetative topped part was composted . Over all agronomical , technical and emergy analysis were carried out for evaluation . The obtained results revealed that the chisel plowing followed by disc harrowing consumed the lowest amount of emergy . the over all emergy consumption of the tested operations was 46.52 kW.h/fed .The harvesting operation by mower followed by digging coused total damage of 10.16 ton/ fed.The main out comes of the research recommended using chisel plough at 6Km/h and 10cm depth followed by disk harrow , pneumatic planter in planting then mower ,chisel plough in harvesting that achieved the value optimum in emergy consumption and yield UR - http://172.23.153.220/th.pdf ER -
