The objective of this research is to improve the heating efficiency of parabolic trough solar collectors, and this is done by selecting the best reflecting material that can be used for the parabolic trough. A group of materials have been selected and tested for their reflectivity. These materials are as follows, aluminum foil with thicknesses of 6,2 æm and 86,46 æm, aluminum sheet, galvanized steel sheet, copper sheet, barium sulphate, barium sulphate with epoxy and stainless steel sheet
