Background: Findings suggestive of a glomerular disease include proteinuria, hematuria, nephrotic syndrome, arterial hypertension, and renal insufficiency. The presence of these manifestations can be used to describe different clinical patterns that correspond to different underlying etiologies. Objective: To identify different patterns of glomerular diseases in children in our center (children hospital, Cairo university) in different age and sex groups, to recognize the pathology underlying these glomerular disease, and to detect most common presentation of each type. Study design: Retrospectively, we reviewed files of all patients in the last five years (between 2011 and 2015) with any glomerular disease &In addition the new cases at the time of the study with a provisional diagnosis of having a glomerular disease were enrolled in the study. Results: A total of 594 cases with different glomerular diseases were identified. Cases were two groups: Retrospective group that were 543 cases and prospective group were 51 cases. There was a male predominance with mean age around 4-5 years old. In the present retrospective study, the most common presentations were NS (68%), nephritis (16.4%) , gross hematuria (10.5%) , nephrotic /nephritic syndrome (3.5%) , microscopic hematuria (0.7%),and acute renal failure (0.4%). In the present prospective study, the most common presentations were NS (76.5%), nephritis (11.7%), nephrotic /nephritic syndrome (7.8%) ,and gross hematuria 3.9%
