A beam-column connection is a critical zone in reinforced concrete structure where elements intersect in three directions. Connections ensure the continuity of structure and transfer forces which are found at end of members. This thesis presents a study for the behavior of reinforced concrete beam column connection strengthened by FRP and subjected to fire by using ANSYS software. ANSYS results are verified by using experimental results available in the literature (Hatem, June 2013). The verification program consists of seven specimens with same geometry, reinforcement and other parameters as those of the experimental specimens. The analysis simulated the different conditions such as fire temperature and dimensions. Good agreement was obtained between both ANSYS results and that from earlier experimental tests. The results from validation were used as inputs for studying the effect of changing column dimensions on strength, deflection and mode of failure of beam column joints at different temperatures. The number of specimens used in this part of the study are 16 specimens of different column dimensions and same beam dimensionsresistance of the column is smaller than moment of resistance of the beam.
