<br/><br/> The study included 40 patients divided into two groups: Group (A): Twenty patients were participated in this study with aggressive periodontitis non medically compromised and were subjected to supra and sub gingival scaling and root debridement. Group (B): Twenty patients were participated in this study as a control group, with healthy periodontium. Clinical parameters including gingival index (GI), plaque index (PI), pocket depth(PD) and clinical attachment level (CAL) were measured and GCF samples were collected using paper points for each patient at base line and 4 weeks after non surgical periodontal treatment for (group A). YKL-40 detection in GCF was performed using a commercial ELISA kit
