This prospective case series study was conducted from December 2014 till February 2017 and included 33 patients of hip joint pain due to torn acetabular labrum. The entire patients underwent hip joint arthroscopy and assessment of the labral condition and associated hip pathologies were done. If the condition of the labrum was repairable, labral repair was done. If the labral condition wasn't repairable, labral debridement was done. And femoroacetabular impingement was dealt with if it existed. We used the modified Harris hip score for assessment of the patient's functional activity and satisfaction preoperatively and postoperatively at 3 and 6months postoperative. It included 15 females and 18 males. 8 patients underwent labral repair and 25 patients underwent labral debridement. There mean improvement in the final MHHS in comparison with the preoperative one was 41.309 (range -13.0-59.7); It was in the debridement group 42.356 (range -13.0-59.7) and in the repair group it was 38.038 (range 11.5-52.0) that was statistically significant. We conclude that both labral repair and debridement shows excellent improvement in the patients functional scores on short term follow up UR - http://172.23.153.220/th.pdf ER -
