Evan's Syndrome is a combination between AIHA and Idiopathic or immune Thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP). B lymphocytes play important roles in the pathogenesis of AIHA/Evan's syndrome. Recent studies have shown that CD5+B lymphocytes are associated with immune-related cytopenia and induction of apoptosis of CD5+b lymphocytes and down-regulation of activity of CD5+b lymphocytes can relieve this disease (Limin et al., 2005).
