Power system harmonics can be found in all commercial and industrial facilities. No doubt those non-linear loads are the main source of harmonic distortion in power systems. This is why electrical distribution systems are, nowadays, highly polluted with harmonics. Poor power factor, reduced network efficiency, and increased power losses are some consequences of harmonic distortion. One of the most adverse effects of harmonic distortion is harmonic resonance, which may significantly amplify harmonic voltages and currents. Thus, nowadays, the filters design trend is to design new resonance-free schemes that can damp resonance and mitigate harmonics
