Kidneys of mice pretreated with the aforementioned agents exhibited amelioration of oxidative stress as manifested by decreased TBARS parallel to increased GSH renal contents, enhanced Nrf2 mRNA expression and HO-1 activity. Attenuated renal inflammation was manifested by a decline of TLR4/ MyD88 gene expression and/or downstream NF-mB and IL-1Ý renal contents. A notable activation of PI3K/Akt signaling was also noted following pretreatment with the tested agents. This was associated with a decrease in serum creatinine and cystatin C levels as well as renal KIM-1 and NGAL contents, in addition to improvement of renal histopathologic insults UR - http://172.23.153.220/th.pdf ER -
